My husband and I live in Silicon Valley and we work for high tech companies.  We’re both in the technical field. I had worked for a company for over twenty years, and my husband has worked for another company for over 30 years now.  After working for this company for over twenty years, I got sort of burned out and I wanted to do something different; I always loved creating things and adventure. So in 2000 I left my wonderful company and I stayed home to rest and to travel to many different parts of the world with my husband for a few years (By the way my husband is still working).  During the time we were traveling we were able to see how beautiful nature is and we also found that technology provides tools to help us to enjoy our adventures more and to be better able to see and record all of the beauty of nature. So then we decided that we would share what we had captured and experienced, with you. 

In 2004 we started our own business, “Thoi’s Arts & Crafts”, Hand Painted Items, where I transformed all the beauty of nature that I had seen into a design that I hand paint onto glasses, ceramics, candles and oil paintings. Each design and color represents a memory of love, joy, and happiness.  All of these items are great gifts for all occasions.  

And my husband loves to take pictures so he took pictures on our trips to record the beauty of nature and transformed them into art, wall mount photos, and “just because” photo greeting cards.

Next we decided to add to our business which we call “Hikers Electronics.com” (a Thoi’s Arts & Crafts Company).  It provides all of the electronic equipment you may need for hiking and backpacking such as GPS’s, Portable Solar Panels, FRS/GMRS Radio/GPS’s, Watches, etc.  All this equipment helped our adventures, hiking, and backpacking by making it easier and safer so that we were better able to enjoy our trips. And now we share them with you, and it is our hope that these items will help you in your adventures as well.
